Claude decided to pursue a career in real estate as she was planning for retirement from a career in social services, where she served as Executive Director of a not-for-profit agency for children in foster care and adults with special needs. She began her new career part-time and quickly discovered that she loved the experience of helping people find a new home in her beloved neighborhood, Hudson Heights. A native of Brittany, France, Claude came to the United States as a teenager. Upon arrival in America, she and her family settled in Long Island. Claude attended college in Ohio and completed graduate work at Fordham University’s School of Social Work. After college, Claude moved to New York City, and subsequently to Hudson Heights, to raise her own family. Claude has traveled extensively with Habitat for Humanity International, building houses in Botswana, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. She has also traveled to India, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Australia, and throughout Europe.
